About Me

Hi!  My name is Amy.  I am a daughter of the King of Kings, forgetting what lies behind and reaching onward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 4:13b-14)  Ever since I was about 13 my heart has rested in the hands of Jesus and my life ever waiting for His beckoned call.

I am 18 years old, a homeschool graduate, and have 8 younger brothers and sisters, Hannah, Melody, John-David, Emma, James, Abigail, Violet, and Peter.  I love each and every one of them with all of my heart (sometimes I question myself... every once and a while :-) ) and pray that by being a good big sister to them I can prepare to be a good mother to my own children some day. To write out a list of things that I enjoy doing would probably take so long and be so boring that I suppose that I will spare you the time and write the basics.  :)

I love music. I sing (my favorite thing to do), play guitar (my next favorite- been playing since I was 12), play trombone (played in a home school band), play piano (need practice :)), and various instruments that we have laying about the house I can pick up and play the basics.  :)  I love listening to Christian music.  Some of my favorite artists are Sanctus Real, the artists of Passion (Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Christy Nockels), BarlowGirl, Rush of Fools, Jonny Diaz... The list could go on and on....

I love to read. I believe that in an abundance of godly character building books, there is a godly heritage.  I know of a family in our church that believes that same way and never ceased to inspire me and kindle my passion for godly literature and building my own personal library to someday share with my children.  Some of my favorite books are Lamplighters...  (Prisoners of the Sea,The Cross TriumphantThe Lost ClueThe Lamplighter, Ishmael The Hidden Hand, Titus: a Comrade of the Cross to name a few :)) Other books that I have enjoyed reading are:
I love photography and editing. I have a Canon Rebel XSi DSLR and absolutely love it.  I have some adorable subjects which is probably why my favorite kind of photography is- people photography!  I love capturing faces and candid moments... one great shot is enough to keep me going for weeks :)

I love chocolate. Is there anything else I must say concerning this issue?

Now I know that this is getting long so I will spare you the rest of the lengthy list that makes up who I am...  You will have to figure out the rest over reading my blog :)  The most important thing for you to know is that I was a wretch, but I have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.  He rescued me out of my own blood and said, "Live!" (Ezekiel 16:6)- and here I am looking to obey and surrender all to Him who loves me and to encourage you along the way...
Wont you join me?  We'll take the path of surrender together...
